Located west of Lebanon, this deck girder bridge carries the Union Pacific over County Road E, also known as the Kressin Underpass.
Built in 1910, the bridge features a single deck girder span, set onto concrete substructures. While the line was originally built for two tracks, only one track is still in use. When the second track was removed in 1959, the former westbound span was removed, and possibly reused elsewhere.
The bridge also features a twinned girder design, typically used to add strength to short girder spans. These style spans were often used to cross creeks and roads, due to the ease of construction and lack of required maintenance.
Railroad documents indicate the bridge was constructed by American Bridge Company, who had gotten the contract to produce many of the girders on this line.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition, with some significant spalling on the wing walls. It appears that the wing walls were poured with overly dry concrete, leading to the deterioration.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
